The following report on W/T at Hong Kong is submitted in continuation of my No. 1099/91 of 29th September 1925 and
enclosures.

At the request of the Hong Kong Government a conference
was held on 12th May 1926 to discuss proposals put forward in
Admiralty Letter M. 02968/25 of 9th December 1925 addressed to
the Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office, a copy of which
had been forwarded to His Excellency, the Governor of Hong Kong
by the Secretary of State for the Colonies who requested
observations and definite recommendations after the matter had
been re-examined.

conclusions and recommendations arrived at are enclosed.
correctness of this summary has been confirmed by the Hong Kong
Government, but it was specially pointed out that any action by
the Hong Kong Government in the matter was "subject to the
approval of the Legislative Council and the voting of the
necessary funds". Two copies of a diagram prepared by the
Officer-in-Charge, Stonecutters E/T Station, showing the
transition and final stages that would occur if the recommendations
of the Conference were adopted are also enclosed.

It will be observed from paragraphs (b) and (c) of the
summary that it is considered necessary to instal extra trans –
mitting gear at Stonecutters to carry out the scheme. It is
probable that at the present time Stonecutters could quite easily
